Kilim Rug & Leather Ottoman | Online8 New Zealand

A compact ottoman built on a solid timber frame, padded with foam and covered in patterned canvas with buffalo leather. The combination is what gives it its character — woven kilim-style pattern against the depth and grain of real hide, on a piece small enough at 360mm square to tuck into a corner or pull out as extra seating when people arrive.

Will each one look the same?
No. Natural hide varies in grain and tone, and patterned textile pieces are cut individually, so expect differences between pieces.

Can I put a drink on it?
It's padded, so it's better suited to seating or as a footstool. A tray on top turns it into a usable surface.

How do I care for the leather?
Keep it away from direct heat sources, which dry and crack hide, and brush regularly with a soft brush to preserve the surface.

Is it comfortable to sit on?
Yes — foam padding over a timber frame, at 460mm high, which is a comfortable perching height.

Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
 
The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for the products we sell.  We will repair or replace any product in accordance with the Act if that product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet the standards imposed by the Act.
If for any reason a replacement or repair cannot be done then a refund will be processed. 
 
Fair Trading Act 1986
 
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect customers from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, the availability of products in store and the sales techniques used.
 
Returning Defective Products
 
Products must be returned and inspected with proof of purchase before we will provide any repair, replacement or refund.
 
Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, we may repair, replace or refund any product that does not meet the standards set out in those Acts.
 
Any refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the product.
 
If you return a product that is not defective and complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
 
a.  The product will be returned to you at your expense and upon your payment of further shipping fees.
b.  The product will be disposed of after 30 days from receipt if we are not provided with further shipping fees and a return shipping address.
