Rustic Reclaimed Pine Bar & Wine Unit with Sliding Doors | Online8 New Zealand
Around 80 years of history, rebuilt for your home — this rustic bar and wine unit is made from genuine reclaimed pine and iron, so the rustic finish sits on wood that has actually aged. Standing 1760mm wide and 2000mm tall, it is built around a central wine rack with shelving to either side. The sliding iron-accented doors are the working detail: they glide across the face to reveal or conceal the collection, and because nothing swings outward the unit fits where a hinged bar cabinet would foul the furniture. As reclaimed timber, natural variation in grain and colour is expected, so each unit is unique. Fully assembled.
Why It Stands Apart
- Reclaimed Timber (~80 years old): Sustainably salvaged pine with genuine vintage character and real age.
- Central Wine Rack with Outer Shelving: Bottles in the middle, glasses and bar tools to the sides, so the whole setup lives in one place.
- Sliding Iron-Accented Doors: Smooth-running doors on iron hardware that need no swing clearance, so you can shut the bar away entirely.
- Adjustable Bottle Shelving: Reset the bottle storage for taller or larger-format bottles rather than a fixed height.
- Fully Assembled: Arrives ready to use, no assembly required.

Frequently Asked Questions
How old is the timber?
The pine is genuinely reclaimed and around 80 years old, so natural variation in grain, colour and the occasional mark is expected — it is what gives each unit its own character.
Does it need to be anchored to the wall?
Yes, without exception. At 2000mm tall and 1760mm wide, loaded with bottles and glassware, it must be fixed into wall studs at more than one point across its width. The sliding doors also apply lateral force each time they are moved, which is a further reason not to leave it freestanding.
Will it fit through my doorway and under my ceiling?
Measure the route before ordering, as it ships fully assembled and travels as a single 1760mm x 450mm x 2000mm piece. The 1760mm width is the real constraint on entry doors, hallway corners and stair turns. Ceiling height is more forgiving at 2000mm, but allow room to tilt it upright inside the room.
How much clearance do the sliding doors need?
None in front, which is the advantage over a hinged bar cabinet. The doors travel across the face of the unit, so it can sit behind seating or beside a door swing without conflict.
