Coastline 2 Drawer Console Table | Online8 New Zealand

Around 80 years of history, rebuilt for your hallway — this reclaimed elm console table lets genuinely salvaged timber do the talking. Finished in a light grey wash that lifts the wood towards a coastal palette without hiding its heavy grain, it offers two dovetailed drawers and a case finished on all sides so it can float in a room. Because the elm is truly reclaimed, nail heads, knots, nicks and hairline cracks are part of its character, and no two consoles are alike.

Frequently Asked Questions

How old is the timber?
The elm is genuinely reclaimed and around 80 years old, so nail heads, knots, nicks and hairline cracks from its previous life are expected. Every piece differs, and none of it affects the table's structure — it's what makes each one unique.

Is 850mm too tall for a side table?
It is — this is a console height, sized for a hallway, behind a sofa or against a dining room wall rather than beside seating.

What is English dovetail joinery?
Interlocking wedge-shaped joints cut into the drawer corners. They resist being pulled apart, which is why they outlast glued or stapled drawer boxes.

How do I care for it?
Dust with a soft dry cloth only. Chemical cleaners and furniture polish aren't recommended on this finish.

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for the products we sell.  We will repair or replace any product in accordance with the Act if that product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet the standards imposed by the Act.
If for any reason a replacement or repair cannot be done then a refund will be processed. 
 
Fair Trading Act 1986
 
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect customers from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, the availability of products in store and the sales techniques used.
 
Returning Defective Products
 
Products must be returned and inspected with proof of purchase before we will provide any repair, replacement or refund.
 
Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, we may repair, replace or refund any product that does not meet the standards set out in those Acts.
 
Any refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the product.
 
If you return a product that is not defective and complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
 
a.  The product will be returned to you at your expense and upon your payment of further shipping fees.
b.  The product will be disposed of after 30 days from receipt if we are not provided with further shipping fees and a return shipping address.
