American FAS grade ash in a walnut stain, with an off-white linen seat and matte silver detailing, at a 640mm counter height. FAS is the top grade of hardwood lumber, meaning long clear lengths with minimal defect, and the semi-open finish is chosen so the ash grain stays visible through the walnut stain rather than being buried under it.

Why It Stands Apart

American FAS grade ash. The highest hardwood lumber grade, selected for long clear sections and consistent grain rather than the offcuts lower grades allow.
Semi-open walnut stain. The finish colours the timber while leaving the grain open and visible, which a closed lacquer would seal over entirely.
Off-white linen seat. A natural fibre with visible texture, lifting the darker walnut frame rather than matching it.
Customisable finishes. The woodwork can also be specified in natural varnish with a semi-open finish, or Steed Black stain in an open finish, alongside upholstery options.

Will it fit my counter or bar?
The 640mm seat suits a standard kitchen counter of roughly 890mm to 910mm. Measure from the floor to the underside of your benchtop and allow 250mm to 300mm of clearance above the seat. It will sit too low at a raised bar of 1050mm or more.

What finish and upholstery options are available?
Beyond the walnut stain, the woodwork can be specified in natural varnish with a semi-open finish or Steed Black stain in an open finish, and upholstery can be customised. Call the showroom on 09-278-8881 to discuss options and lead times.

How should the linen seat be cared for?
Vacuum regularly with an upholstery attachment and blot spills immediately, since linen is a natural fibre and absorbs more readily than a synthetic. An off-white seat will show marks sooner than a dark one.

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for the products we sell. We will repair or replace any product in accordance with the Act if that product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet the standards imposed by the Act.
If for any reason a replacement or repair cannot be done then a refund will be processed.

Fair Trading Act 1986

The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect customers from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, the availability of products in store and the sales techniques used.

Returning Defective Products

Products must be returned and inspected with proof of purchase before we will provide any repair, replacement or refund.

Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, we may repair, replace or refund any product that does not meet the standards set out in those Acts.

Any refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the product.

If you return a product that is not defective and complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:

a. The product will be returned to you at your expense and upon your payment of further shipping fees.
b. The product will be disposed of after 30 days from receipt if we are not provided with further shipping fees and a return shipping address.
