The Babila bar stool in black is a solid ash, bar-height stool made in Italy by Pedrali and designed by Odo Fioravanti. A dished seat and powder-coated aluminium footrest sit at 750mm bar height, backed by credentials unusual at this level: a five-year commercial warranty, a 140kg user rating, GreenGuard Gold certification for low emissions, and FSC-certified timber.

Will it fit my counter or bar?
The 750mm seat suits a raised bar or high island of roughly 1050mm to 1100mm. Measure from the floor to the underside of your benchtop and allow 250mm to 300mm of clearance above the seat. For a standard 900mm kitchen counter, the Babila Counter Stool has a 650mm seat instead.
What weight can it hold?
It is rated to a maximum user weight of 140kg.
Is a backless stool comfortable enough for meals?
The dished seat makes a considerable difference, cradling rather than sitting flat, and it is the reason this design has stayed in production. For long formal meals a backed stool will still be more comfortable.
What does GreenGuard Gold certification mean?
It certifies that the product has been independently tested for low chemical emissions, to a standard strict enough for schools and healthcare settings. It matters most in kitchens and other enclosed spaces where you spend a lot of time.
