Cardrona Commode 3 Drawer – Natural Rattan | Online8 New Zealand

Woven rattan drawer fronts on an iron frame, with Bayur hardwood and Mindi veneer. The rattan is the point — hand-woven cane gives texture and lets light through in a way a solid drawer front can't, so a metre-wide chest doesn't read as a solid block.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I care for woven rattan?
Dust it with a soft brush rather than a cloth — a brush reaches into the weave. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from damp, both of which can make natural cane brittle over time.

Is rattan durable on drawer fronts?
Woven cane is strong in normal use, but it's a natural material set into a frame, so avoid hooking or catching it. The iron frame and timber carcass carry the structural load.

How much wall space does it need?
A full metre across and 400mm deep, plus room in front for the drawers to open. The shallow 400mm depth helps in a hallway.

What's the difference between this and the black Cardrona?
Identical dimensions and construction. This is the natural rattan finish; the other pairs rattan with a rustic black frame.

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for the products we sell.  We will repair or replace any product in accordance with the Act if that product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet the standards imposed by the Act.
If for any reason a replacement or repair cannot be done then a refund will be processed. 
 
Fair Trading Act 1986
 
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect customers from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, the availability of products in store and the sales techniques used.
 
Returning Defective Products
 
Products must be returned and inspected with proof of purchase before we will provide any repair, replacement or refund.
 
Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, we may repair, replace or refund any product that does not meet the standards set out in those Acts.
 
Any refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the product.
 
If you return a product that is not defective and complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
 
a.  The product will be returned to you at your expense and upon your payment of further shipping fees.
b.  The product will be disposed of after 30 days from receipt if we are not provided with further shipping fees and a return shipping address.
