How old is the timber?
The frame is genuinely reclaimed elm, approximately 80 years old, so natural variation in grain and old marks is expected and makes each stool unique.
Will it fit my counter or bar?
The 650mm seat suits a standard kitchen counter of roughly 900mm. Measure from the floor to the underside of your benchtop and allow 250mm to 300mm of clearance above the seat. At a raised bar of 1050mm or more it will sit too low.
Is it adjustable or does it swivel?
No — this is a fixed-height stool at a 650mm seat, with no swivel or wind-up mechanism.
Are they sold individually or as a set?
Each stool is sold individually. The same stool also comes in antique black and in natural.
Will the white finish mark?
It is an antique finish over reclaimed timber, so it is meant to show wear and any new marks blend into the existing character rather than standing out. Wipe with a barely damp cloth and avoid solvent cleaners.
