Gear Wall Clock - Black and Gold

Gear Wall Clock - Black and Gold | Online8 New Zealand

A 59cm round wall clock in black with gold detailing throughout. Gold Roman numerals sit on a dark dial, ringed by a gold Arabic minute scale, with slim gold hands and a cluster of exposed gold gears at the centre. The black-on-black body keeps it understated while the gold does all the work.

Why It Stands Apart

• Exposed gold gears: Cogs sit open at the centre of the dark face, so the mechanism is the decoration.
• Two numbering systems: Gold Roman numerals for the hours with a gold Arabic minute scale around the outside, giving the face depth rather than one flat layer.
• Black and gold restraint: A dark body with gold detail reads as considered rather than loud, and suits both modern and more classic rooms.
• Slim gold hands: Fine pointed hands that stay legible against the dark dial without adding visual bulk.
• 590mm scale: Big enough to be the feature on a wall, but easier to place than the 700mm and 800mm clocks in the range.

Specifications

Frequently Asked Questions

How big is it?
59cm (590mm) across — a mid-size feature clock, easier to place than the 70cm and 80cm options.

What does the face look like?
A dark dial with gold Roman numerals, a gold Arabic minute scale around the outside, slim gold hands and exposed gold gears at the centre.

How does it compare to the other gear clocks?
The Vintage Gear Wall Clock is larger at 80cm in aged gold, and the Porthole Gear Wall Clock is 70cm with a silver marine frame. This one is the darkest and most restrained of the three.

How do I hang it?
Fix it into a stud or use a wall anchor rated well above the clock's weight rather than a plasterboard hook.

How do I clean it?
Dust with a soft dry cloth. Avoid damp cloths and cleaning sprays, which can dull the gold detailing.
