There is no frame on this mirror at all — the structure is in the glass itself, divided into a grid of panes, and the silvering is antiqued so the reflection comes back soft, mottled and slightly clouded. It behaves much more like a salvaged window than a modern mirror, which is rather the point: it is made to be looked at rather than looked into, and it brings age into a room that has none.
Why It Stands Apart
- Genuinely frameless. With no surround to interrupt it, the panelled grid runs right to the outer edge and the piece sits almost flat against the wall.
- Antiqued silvering throughout. The mottling is worked across every pane rather than only at the borders, so the effect holds up close as well as from across the room.
- Hangs portrait or landscape. The grid is symmetrical, so 900 x 1200mm works standing tall in a hallway or lying wide above a mantel.
- Only 30mm deep. Slim enough for a narrow hallway or a stair wall where a deeper framed mirror would feel intrusive.

Why is the reflection cloudy?
Because it is meant to be. The antiqued silvering is applied deliberately to give a soft, aged, mottled reflection, and the mirror will never return a sharp image the way a plain mirror does. If you need to check your appearance in it, this is not the right mirror for the job.
How does a frameless mirror fix to the wall?
Through mounting hardware on the back rather than through a frame, which means the fixings carry the load directly. Fix into a stud rather than into plasterboard alone, check for wiring before you drill, and make sure the mirror beds flat against the wall — a frameless panel bearing on a high point can crack under its own weight.
Are the edges vulnerable?
More so than on a framed mirror, since there is nothing protecting them. Handle it by the faces rather than the edges when you move it, keep it off hard floors while you position it, and avoid mounting it where furniture or a door can knock the perimeter.
