This is the large one in the outdoor range, and the dark antique metal finish is what sets it apart from its white siblings. At 750 x 1310mm it is big enough to genuinely change how a courtyard reads — a pale frame at this size can start to dominate a small garden, whereas the aged metal recedes into shadow and lets the reflection do the work. Against brick, weathered timber or corten it looks like part of the structure rather than an ornament hung on it.

Where should I position it in the garden?
Out of sustained direct sunlight, which a mirror concentrates onto whatever sits opposite it. Against dry planting or a timber fence that is a genuine fire risk in a New Zealand summer, and the risk rises with size — this is the largest mirror in the range. A shaded aspect or a position under an eave is the safe choice.

Will birds fly into it?
They can, and a larger mirror makes it more likely because there is more reflected sky and foliage to mistake for open space. Mount it high rather than low, site it to reflect a wall or fence rather than the garden itself, and consider partly screening it with a climber.

How should it be fixed outdoors?
Into structural framing or masonry with exterior-rated fixings that will not rust and streak the finish. At 1310mm on an exposed wall, wind loading is a serious consideration — use fixings rated well above the mirror's weight, not the minimum that would hold it indoors.

Can it go in a bathroom?
Yes. A frame built to survive rain handles bathroom humidity without difficulty. Keep it out of direct shower spray so water does not sit against the bottom edge of the glass.
