This page tells you the terms on which we supply any of the products (Products) listed on our website www.online8.co.nz. Please read these terms carefully before ordering any Products from our company. You should understand that by ordering any of our Products, you agree to be bound by these terms. 

Online8 operates in New Zealand. All prices are in NZD and all transactions are billed in NZD.

Customer data privacy policy

Please be assured that all the information that you share with us is private and confidential. At no point we will share, rent or sell your personal information without your consent.

Online8 works diligently to protect the security of all of your personal information, including your credit card information. We use eWay to provide the most secure payment system available. eWay is a PCI-DSS compliant provider with bank grade infrastructure. The eWay privacy policy can be viewed at http://www.eway.co.nz/company/legal#privacy

GeoTrust provides our Secure Sockets Layer certificate (SSL) which provides up to 256 bit encryption thereby offering the highest level of encryption and security possible.

Terms and conditions of sale

1. INFORMATION ABOUT US

1.1 www.online8.co.nz is a website registered in New Zealand under company number 7863328. Our GST number is 131038240.

2. ORDERING PRODUCTS

2.1 You can place orders for Products with us by following the process outlined on our site. You acknowledge that by placing an order with us you will be under an obligation to pay for the Products in that order.

2.2 Our order process allows you to check and amend any errors before submitting your order to us. Please take the time to read and check your order at each stage of the order process.

2.3 All orders for in - stock items are subject to acceptance by us. We will send you an email to confirm acceptance. The contract between you and us will only be made when we send you this email to confirm acceptance. We will charge your chosen payment method after we accept your order. We will send a further email when your order has been dispatched.

2.4 Unfortunately we can’t stop an order once it has been dispatched by us. If you change your mind about your order after this point you can return the Products to us in accordance with the returns policy in clause 9. Please Note: Delivery charges and Re-stocking fee will apply. 

2.5 Before ordering from us, it is your responsibility to check and determine your full ability to receive the Products ordered. This includes ensuring that the Product ordered will pass freely into your room of choice, they fit in that room, can be transported through the door of your flat or room, stairs and doorways, and there are no other issues that could make delivery more complicated or impossible. (Mistakes do happen, if any of the above do occur and items are returned back, please note; delivery company will not refund the charges and extra charge may apply if re-delivery occurs or if any complication occurred during delivering that was not mentioned before delivery) 

2.6 You must keep the contact details we hold for you up-to-date so that we can contact you if necessary about your order or the delivery of the Products. 

2.7 All orders for pre - order items are subject to acceptance by us. We will send you an email to confirm the availability of the fabric, paint finishes, and styles, regardless of photos displayed on our website. The contract between you and us will only be made when we send you this email to confirm acceptance.

3. AVAILABILITY

3.1 All orders for Products are subject to the availability of those Products and the materials for making the Products. We will inform you as soon as possible after placing an order if, for any reason, the Products you have ordered are not available or are subject to any delay.

3.2 If we are unable to supply you with a Product, for example, because of an error in stock level or error in the price (see clauses 5.4 and 5.5 below) we will inform you of this by email and we will not process your order. If you have already paid for the Product we will refund you the full amount as soon as possible.

4. IMAGES, CHARACTERISTICS  AND SIZING OF PRODUCTS

4.1 The images of the Products on our site are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display the colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that your computer will display the colours accurately or reflect the colour of the Products. The Products that are delivered to you may vary slightly from those images. 

4.2 For our Reclaimed collection which is made from mostly recycled timber and is purposely designed and finished to create a rustic, unique look. Variation in colour and grain are common and are to be expected. Other markings. e.g. knots, uneven top finish, old insect holes, old paint lines, man made markings like saw cuts and some minor cosmetic blemishes are also deemed to be in keeping with the rustic look and appeal. Minor cracks and/or splits in the wood can also be present at the time of manufacture, and may also occur after delivery as the furniture is made from 20 - 80 year old timbers. All are natural features and are not considered to be faults.

4.3 Please understand that no two pieces are alike and take this into consideration before purchasing, along with the features mentioned above. The range is recommended for indoor use only.

4.4 Although we have made every effort to be as accurate as possible, the measurements indicated including weights, dimensions and capacities shown on our site are approximate only.

5. PRICES OF PRODUCTS

5.1 The price of any Product will be as quoted on our site, except in cases of obvious error / human or system error.

5.2 The price of any Product may change from time to time, but changes will not affect any order we have accepted.

5.3 The price of a Product includes GST but excludes delivery costs, which will be added to the total amount due.

5.4 Due to the large number of Products on our site, it is always possible that some of the Products listed on our site may be incorrectly priced, despite our reasonable efforts. We will normally verify prices as part of our order-handling procedure so that, where a Product's correct price is less than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount when dispatching the Product to you. If the Product’s correct price is higher than the price stated on our site, we will normally, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatching the Product, or reject your order and notify you of the rejection.

6. HOW TO PAY

6.1 We accept payment with the payment methods listed on our site. You must pay for the Products and any applicable delivery charges in advance.

6.2 By submitting an order to us through our site, you are confirming that the payment details provided on your order are valid and correct.

7. DELIVERY

7.1 We can deliver Nationwide and mainly use Mainfrieght, Diamond Deliveries, Conroy Removal, OnSend, Trust Movers, Post Haste, Aramex, New Zealand Couriers unless otherwise stated. 

7.2 Please note that we only deliver to addresses in New Zealand.

7.3 Orders received on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays will be processed on the following business day. We aim to deliver your items as soon as possible but dispatch times indicated are subject to change.

7.4 Standard Sized items usually delivered within 7 business days (Rural Home Delivery will take longer and usually adds another 3-5 days to your delivery timeframe).

7.5 Oversized Items usually delivered within 14 business days (Rural Home Delivery will take longer and usually adds another 3 days to your delivery timeframe). You will be contacted prior to delivery by the carrier to arrange a suitable delivery day & time.

7.6 The customer delivery service does not include the assembly of kitset products and the connection of plumbing or electrical equipment.

7.7 We endeavor to deliver pre-ordered items on the day of release, however due to delivery location (rural addresses) and courier schedules (weekends, public holidays), your delivery may be made on following days.

7.8 Customer Requested Delivery Times

In some instances customers request specific delivery dates, we will endeavor to deliver as close to this date as possible but due to the nature of some orders and customer location we cannot guarantee to meet your request. We will hold stock, within a reasonable timeframe, to accommodate customer needs but this may not always be possible. If we unable to meet your request we will notify you via email or telephone.

8. RISK AND TITLE

8.1 Ownership of the Products will pass to you when we receive full payment of all sums due in respect of the Products, including delivery charges.

8.2 The Products will be your responsibility from the time of delivery.

9. CANCELLATION, RETURNS AND REFUND POLICY

9.1 If you decide to return a product that is not faulty, we are not obligated to give a refund. We will instead offer you a store credit. Clearance items or sale priced items are non-returnable (unless faulty). If under good-will a refund option has been discussed; please note; delivery cost and re-stocking fee will be deducted. 

Items can be returned (if agreed) under the following conditions:

  • Proof of purchase is provided
  • Goods must be in original condition, unused with packaging and labels intact.
  • Goods must be returned within 14 days of purchase.
  • Any shipping costs paid by you or charged to you are non-refundable.

If you wish to return an item by courier or carrier, this will be at your cost. We suggest you contact us first at info@online8.co.nz. All the terms and conditions of our returns policy must also be met.

We will process your exchange or refund within 10 working days of receipt of your parcel.

Online8 does not accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit while being returned. We recommend that you use a delivery service that provides tracking and delivery to the door.

Effects of cancellation

9.2 We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and no later than: (a) 14 days after the day we receive back from you any Products supplied, or (b) (if earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the Products, or (c) if there were no goods supplied, 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract.

Faulty or mis-described goods

9.3 If you are returning the Products to us because they are faulty or mis-described, you must return the products within 14 days of receiving the product, we will refund: the price of the Product in full; any applicable delivery charges, and any reasonable costs you incur in returning the item to us. As a consumer, you will always have legal rights in relation to Products that are faulty or not as described. These legal rights are not affected by the returns policy in this clause 9 or these terms and conditions of sale.

How to return the Products 

9.4 Unless the Products are faulty or were not delivered as described, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the Products to us including the cost of us collecting the Products from you. 

9.5 You must take care when opening packaging that the Products were delivered in and carefully re-pack the Products in the original (or similar) packaging prior to returning the Products to us. You may be asked to send photo's once packaged before returning items.

10. PRE-ORDER: CANCELLATION & REFUND

10.1 Cancellations received within 10 working days, a refund of 80% will be refunded within 24 hours. The 20 % will cover our admin, re-stocking and delivery charges. 

10.2 Cancellations received after 10 working days once order confirmed and customized items are non-refundable.

11. GUARANTEE

11.1 All our products carry a minimum 12 months manufacturer’s warranty unless otherwise stated

11.2 The warranty starts from the day you receive your product and we warrant our product to be free from defective materials or workmanship for the length of the warranty period.

11.3 The warranty is not transferable and only covers the original purchaser. The warranty is for home use only, goods used in a commercial environment will render the warranty void.

11.4 Online8 reserves the right to repair or replace any product that falls under the normal warranty conditions. We also reserves the right to refuse any warranty claim if under inspection the product failure is due to causes other than defective workmanship or materials that fall outside the normal warranty conditions.

11.5 We will meet all our obligations regarding warranties as set out in the Consumer Guarantees Act

11.6 We will not cover:

a. Products that are defective that after inspection is due to abnormal use or careless use of the product
b. Products that have been damaged due to misuse, or use in such a manner that is deemed inappropriate
c. Damage occurred from cleaning the furniture with unsuitable products
d. Damage occurred from incorrectly assembling the product
e. Comfort preference
