Animal World Childrens Canvas Wall Art | Online8 New Zealand

A world map built entirely out of animals — each continent filled with the creatures that live there, drawn in soft illustration on a pale ground. At 90 x 60cm on canvas with a white textured L-frame, it's the rare children's piece that parents don't get tired of. It earns its place in a nursery, a bedroom or a playroom, and it quietly teaches something.

Why It Stands Apart

  • A map that's genuinely useful as well as decorative — children learn the continents from it without being taught
  • Soft illustrated palette rather than primary-colour brights, so it suits a considered nursery
  • White textured L-frame keeps it light and clean against a pale wall
  • 90 x 60cm landscape — the right size above a cot, a low bookshelf or a change table
  • Grows with the child: it works just as well in a seven-year-old's room as a baby's

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe above a cot?
Any framed piece above a cot should be fixed securely to the wall with rated anchors, not hung on a single hook. Better still, hang it on an adjacent wall.

Are the animals labelled?
They're illustrated rather than captioned — the appeal is in recognising them.

Is it glazed?
No, it's canvas, so there's no glass to break.

Does it come ready to hang?
Yes, framed with hanging hardware fitted.

Can I see it?
Please give our showroom a call at 09 278 8881 to check if this is on display.
