Same size, same finish colour, same bevelled glass. If the mirror will be seen close up, the carved version rewards it; at a distance across a room, the cheaper one does the same job.

Can it stand on the floor or does it have to hang?
Either. It is proportioned to work both ways. If you rest it against a wall it must be secured — at 1500mm it can be pulled over by a child or a pet, so fit a strap or bracket into a stud, never lean it on a rug or an uneven floor, and never where a door can swing into it.

How should it be fixed if I hang it?
Into structural framing across more than one stud. A mahogany frame at this size is heavy and puts real load through its fixings. Check for wiring or pipework before drilling and lift it into place with two people.

How do I clean hand-carved detail?
A soft dry brush rather than a cloth, which catches on the carving. Never spray glass cleaner directly at the mirror — apply it to the cloth, so nothing runs into the carved recesses where it will mark the lacquer.

Can it go in a bathroom?
No. Mahogany and plaster both suffer under sustained humidity, and a lacquer finish will bloom. Keep it to living areas, hallways and bedrooms.
