This bar stool is handmade from aluminium and top grain leather, with a 750mm seat height that puts it squarely at bar height. Top grain is the second-highest leather grade available, taken from just beneath the hide's surface, and it is what allows the seat to soften and develop a patina with use rather than cracking the way a coated split or bonded leather does.

Will it fit my counter or bar?
A 750mm seat suits a benchtop of roughly 1050mm to 1100mm, which is standard raised-bar height. Measure floor to the underside of your benchtop and allow 250mm to 300mm of clearance above the seat. If your bench is a standard 900mm kitchen counter, this stool will sit too high.

How will the leather age?
Top grain leather darkens and softens with use, developing a patina around the seat and the areas that take the most contact. Colour and texture will vary naturally across the hide, which is characteristic rather than a fault.

How should the leather be cared for?
Dust with a soft dry cloth and keep it away from direct heat and prolonged sunlight, both of which dry leather out. Avoid solvent-based cleaners entirely.
