Beckett Barstool | Counter Stool - Black | Online8 New Zealand

The Beckett in black is a counter stool with a firm PU seat on a powder-coated iron frame, set at a 650mm seat height for standard kitchen counters. Firm rather than soft PU is a deliberate choice on a kitchen stool: it holds its shape under daily use instead of flattening at the front edge the way a soft fill does. Arrives assembled.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it fit my counter or bar?
The 650mm seat suits a standard kitchen counter of roughly 900mm. Measure from the floor to the underside of your benchtop and allow 250mm to 300mm of clearance above the seat. At a raised bar of 1050mm or more it will sit too low.

How does PU compare with real leather?
PU gives the leather look and is far easier to live with in a kitchen, wiping clean without staining or needing conditioning. It will not develop the patina real leather does, so you trade long-term character for low maintenance.

How should it be cleaned?
A damp cloth handles most marks. Avoid solvent-based cleaners and abrasives, which damage the PU surface, and wipe the frame with a soft damp cloth only.

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for the products we sell.  We will repair or replace any product in accordance with the Act if that product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet the standards imposed by the Act.
If for any reason a replacement or repair cannot be done then a refund will be processed. 
 
Fair Trading Act 1986
 
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect customers from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, the availability of products in store and the sales techniques used.
 
Returning Defective Products
 
Products must be returned and inspected with proof of purchase before we will provide any repair, replacement or refund.
 
Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, we may repair, replace or refund any product that does not meet the standards set out in those Acts.
 
Any refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the product.
 
If you return a product that is not defective and complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
 
a.  The product will be returned to you at your expense and upon your payment of further shipping fees.
b.  The product will be disposed of after 30 days from receipt if we are not provided with further shipping fees and a return shipping address.
