The Beret in Macau Black is a foam-cushioned polyester velvet counter stool on a black metal frame, with a 650mm seat height for standard kitchen benches. The cut pile catches light differently as you move around it, so a black seat reads with depth and sheen rather than as a flat dark shape. A comfortable, tactile stool delivered fully assembled.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it suit my counter or bar?
The 650mm seat suits a standard kitchen counter of roughly 900mm. Measure from the floor to the underside of your benchtop and allow 250mm to 300mm of clearance above the seat. At a raised bar of 1050mm or more it will sit too low.

Is velvet practical in a kitchen?
Polyester velvet is considerably more hardwearing than natural velvet and resists marking well. Pile can flatten where it takes the most contact, so brushing it back occasionally with a soft brush keeps the nap even.

Is it sold individually or as a set?
It is priced and sold as a single stool.

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for the products we sell.  We will repair or replace any product in accordance with the Act if that product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet the standards imposed by the Act.
If for any reason a replacement or repair cannot be done then a refund will be processed. 
 
Fair Trading Act 1986
 
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect customers from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, the availability of products in store and the sales techniques used.
 
Returning Defective Products
 
Products must be returned and inspected with proof of purchase before we will provide any repair, replacement or refund.
 
Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, we may repair, replace or refund any product that does not meet the standards set out in those Acts.
 
Any refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the product.
 
If you return a product that is not defective and complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
 
a.  The product will be returned to you at your expense and upon your payment of further shipping fees.
b.  The product will be disposed of after 30 days from receipt if we are not provided with further shipping fees and a return shipping address.
