The oblong is the practical shape in this range. At 680 x 950mm it is tall enough to return a proper head-and-shoulders reflection — the round and square versions are decorative first — which makes it the one to choose for an entryway or above a basin where you actually need to see yourself. In black-finished oak the frame reads as a firm dark outline, holding its own against a pale wall where a natural timber would recede.
Why It Stands Apart
- A genuinely usable proportion. 950mm of height gives a full head-and-shoulders reflection, which the 800mm square and round versions in this range do not quite manage.
- Black-finished oak, not black paint. The finish is worked into the oak so the grain stays faintly visible, giving the frame depth that a solid painted moulding lacks.
- Solid oak construction. An edge knock takes a dent rather than lifting a veneer layer, which cannot be repaired invisibly.

What other shapes and finishes are there?
Four shapes in two finishes. Alongside this oblong there is a square at 800 x 800mm, a round at 800mm and an oval at 630 x 800mm, each available in black oak and in natural oak. The frame profile is common across all eight, so they hang together well as a group.
How should it be fixed to the wall?
Into a stud where possible. A solid oak frame at this size is heavier than it looks, and a plasterboard anchor rated for a light picture is not adequate. Check for wiring before you drill.
Can it go in a bathroom?
Only a well-ventilated one, and not close to the shower. This is a solid timber frame, and sustained humidity or direct spray will raise the grain and eventually work in behind the mirror backing.
What does it weigh?
The weight recorded against this product is a placeholder applied across a bulk supplier import and is far too low for an oak-framed mirror of this size, so we have not published it. Call the showroom and we will confirm.
