An old pine library cabinet in a black wash finish, 2150mm wide and 2150mm tall, with metal handles that give it the look of old post office furniture. Does it need to be anchored to the wall?
Yes, without exception. At 2150mm tall and 2150mm wide this is a substantial piece that must be fixed into wall studs at several points across its width, and loaded from the bottom up.

Will it fit through my doorway and under my ceiling?
Measure carefully before ordering. At 2150mm you have around 250mm under a standard 2400mm ceiling, so check for light fittings, cornices or a sloped run above the position. You also need a clear uninterrupted 2150mm run of wall, with no switches, window reveals or skirting returns breaking the line.

How should the black wash finish be cared for?
Dust with a soft dry cloth and use only a barely damp cloth for marks. Avoid solvent-based cleaners, which lift a wash finish considerably faster than they would sealed paint.
