A cast iron bar stool built around a genuine tractor-seat form, finished in rustic grey with a 670mm seat height. The tractor seat is not a styling flourish: the contoured dish shape was originally engineered to hold a person steady over rough ground, and it turns out to be a remarkably comfortable shape for a backless stool. Arrives assembled.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it fit my counter or bar?
The 670mm seat suits a standard kitchen counter of roughly 900mm to 920mm. Measure from the floor to the underside of your benchtop and allow 250mm to 300mm of clearance above the seat. It will sit too low at a raised bar of 1050mm or more.

Is a backless stool comfortable enough for meals?
The dished tractor seat is considerably more supportive than a flat backless stool, but for long sittings a stool with a backrest will always be more comfortable. This one suits breakfast bars and casual use well.

Will it mark my floor?
Cast iron is heavy and concentrates that weight on small feet, so check the base against timber, vinyl or tile before dragging it. Felt pads are worth fitting from the start, particularly on softer timber floors.

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for the products we sell.  We will repair or replace any product in accordance with the Act if that product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet the standards imposed by the Act.
If for any reason a replacement or repair cannot be done then a refund will be processed. 
 
Fair Trading Act 1986
 
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect customers from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, the availability of products in store and the sales techniques used.
 
Returning Defective Products
 
Products must be returned and inspected with proof of purchase before we will provide any repair, replacement or refund.
 
Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, we may repair, replace or refund any product that does not meet the standards set out in those Acts.
 
Any refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the product.
 
If you return a product that is not defective and complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
 
a.  The product will be returned to you at your expense and upon your payment of further shipping fees.
b.  The product will be disposed of after 30 days from receipt if we are not provided with further shipping fees and a return shipping address.
