About the Designer
Kenneth Cobonpue is a multi-award-winning furniture designer from Cebu in the Philippines, known for transforming modern design through natural fibres — rattan, abaca, and buri — woven by hand over sculptural frames to create what he calls "functional art." After studying in New York, Italy, and Germany, he returned home in 1996 to lead his family's atelier, where every piece is handcrafted by skilled artisans. His organic, sculptural work has earned international acclaim and a following that ranges from Hollywood to royalty.
