Console Table - Railway Sleeper Wood | Online8 New Zealand

Around 80 years of history, rebuilt for your home — this console table is made from genuinely repurposed railway sleeper timber, and it shows. Sleepers spend decades bearing weight outdoors, so the reclaimed wood comes back with a density and surface character new timber cannot replicate: deep grain, weathering and marks from a working life. At 1500mm long and a taller-than-standard 900mm high, it brings real presence to an entryway. Natural variation is expected, so every piece is one of a kind.

The railway sleeper timber is around 80 years old and genuinely reclaimed, having spent decades in service. Natural grain, splits, bolt holes and weathering are expected — they are the material's history, not defects, and make each piece unique.

Will it look exactly like the photos?
No two are the same. Sleeper timber carries its own grain, splits, bolt holes and weathering from years of outdoor service.

How do I care for reclaimed sleeper wood?
Dust with a soft dry cloth and wipe spills promptly. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight, which fades the finish over time.

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for the products we sell.  We will repair or replace any product in accordance with the Act if that product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet the standards imposed by the Act.
If for any reason a replacement or repair cannot be done then a refund will be processed. 
 
Fair Trading Act 1986
 
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect customers from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, the availability of products in store and the sales techniques used.
 
Returning Defective Products
 
Products must be returned and inspected with proof of purchase before we will provide any repair, replacement or refund.
 
Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, we may repair, replace or refund any product that does not meet the standards set out in those Acts.
 
Any refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the product.
 
If you return a product that is not defective and complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
 
a.  The product will be returned to you at your expense and upon your payment of further shipping fees.
b.  The product will be disposed of after 30 days from receipt if we are not provided with further shipping fees and a return shipping address.
