Dancing Dunes Wharariki Beach Canvas Wall Art | Online8 New Zealand

Marram grass bending across the dunes at Wharariki Beach, with the sea and the famous rock arches beyond. Canvas at 80 x 120cm in an oak-coloured frame. The grasses in the foreground are where the movement is — everything behind them is flat and still, which is what gives the picture its depth.

Why It Stands Apart

  • Wharariki Beach at the top of the South Island — wild, remote, and recognisable to anyone who has made the walk
  • Foreground grasses give real depth rather than a flat postcard view
  • Oak-coloured frame picks up the sand and dune-grass tones
  • 80 x 120cm portrait — good scale for a hallway, bedroom or bach
  • Soft natural palette that sits easily with timber and linen

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it glazed?
No — canvas, so no glass and no glare.

Does it group with the other New Zealand pieces?
Yes — Muriwai Beach is the same size and frame, and Toi Party shares the dune-grass subject.

How much wall does it need?
Around 1.2m of clear width.

Will it suit a bach?
It is close to ideal for one, and it works just as well in a city bedroom.
