Does it need to be anchored to the wall?
Yes. At 2000mm tall on a 400mm-deep base, with drawers that pull outward, it must be fixed into wall studs. Anchor at several points across the 2400mm width rather than relying on one or two fixings.
Will it fit through my doorway and under my ceiling?
Ceiling height is straightforward at 2000mm. The width is the real constraint: you need a clear, uninterrupted 2400mm run of wall with no switches, window reveals, door architraves or skirting returns breaking the line. Measure the wall before you measure anything else.
How should old pine be cared for?
Dust with a soft dry cloth and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight, which fades aged timber unevenly over time. Wipe spills promptly rather than letting them sit on the surface.
