At two metres this is the largest mirror in the collection, and leather is a genuinely unusual material at that scale: it gives the frame a warmth and tactility that neither timber nor metal can match.

Is it safe to lean against a wall?
Only if it is secured, and this one demands care. At two metres tall and 900mm wide with a 50mm frame, a leather-wrapped mirror of this size is very heavy with a high centre of gravity. An unsecured leaner could cause serious injury if it tipped. Fit an anti-tip strap or bracket into a wall stud, never rest it on a rug or uneven floor, and never lean it where a door could swing into it.

How should the leather be cared for?
Dust with a soft dry cloth and keep it away from direct heat and prolonged sunlight, which dry leather out. Never use solvent cleaners, and apply glass cleaner to the cloth rather than spraying it near the frame.
