Can I use them outside?
Yes. Fibre cement is made for both indoor and outdoor use. As with any cement planter, raise it slightly off the surface so water can drain away underneath, and avoid leaving it waterlogged through a hard frost.

Are they heavy?
Lighter than solid concrete for the same size, but still substantial — which is what keeps a tall plant upright in wind.
