How should it be fixed to the wall?
Into a stud rather than plasterboard alone. A tall narrow mirror puts its whole load through a small number of fixings, and at 1420mm a failure brings a large panel of glass down. Check for wiring before drilling, and have someone hold it plumb while you mark out — a narrow mirror shows a lean very clearly against a door frame or skirting.

Can I lean it against the wall instead?
Only if you secure it. At 1420mm it can be pulled over by a child or a pet. Fit a strap or bracket into a stud behind it, never lean it on a rug or an uneven floor, and never place it where a door can swing into it.

Can it go in a bathroom?
Not one that gets steamy. Fir is a softwood, and sustained humidity will lift the finish and eventually work in behind the mirror backing. Keep it to hallways, bedrooms and living areas.
