Handmade Iron Dog Statue - Metal Garden Sculpture

Handmade Iron Dog Statue - Metal Garden Sculpture | Online8 New Zealand

A life-size iron dog with real personality: floppy ears, a long snout and a tail curled up over its back. It is handmade in India from shaped and welded sheet iron, so the hammered panels, visible weld seams and dark rust-brown finish give every piece its own character. At 75cm long and 72cm high it has proper presence at a front door, beside a garden path, on a deck or as a quirky sculpture indoors.

Why It Stands Apart

• Handmade in India: Each dog is cut, shaped and welded by hand, so no two are exactly alike.
• Full Metal Construction: Solid iron throughout, with no resin or plastic parts.
• Life-Size Presence: 75cm long and 72cm tall, close to the size of a real medium dog.
• Rustic Iron Finish: A dark brown patina with visible welds and hammer marks that suits industrial, farmhouse and natural gardens.
• Indoor or Outdoor: Works as a garden ornament, an entrance greeter or a conversation piece in a living room.
• A Gift for Dog Lovers: A characterful present that never needs walking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can it stay outside?
Yes. It is solid iron, so it is made for the garden. Outdoors the finish will slowly develop more natural rust patina, which adds to the rustic look. If you prefer to keep the current colour, a coat of clear outdoor metal sealant will slow this down.

Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Each piece is handmade, so expect small differences in the welds, ear shape and finish. That variation is part of its handcrafted character.

How big is it?
It measures 75cm long, 17cm deep and 72cm tall, roughly the size of a real medium-sized dog.

Is it heavy enough to stay put?
It is all metal, so it is stable on flat ground. In very exposed, windy spots you can secure the feet to a deck or paving.

Can I use it indoors?
Yes. It makes a striking statement in an entranceway, by a fireplace or in a living room. Place it on a mat if your floors are delicate.

Does it ship nationwide?
We ship New Zealand wide. Shipping charges are available at checkout.
