This is the narrow one. At 500mm wide by 1500mm high it is proportioned like a window rather than a mirror, which makes it the answer to the wall most mirrors cannot solve — the strip beside a doorway, the panel between two windows, the end of a hallway that is tall but has no width to give. The iron frame is aged by design, so it reads as something salvaged and fitted rather than bought.

How should it be fixed to the wall?
Into a stud, spanning more than one fixing point where the framing allows. At 1500mm this is at the threshold where plasterboard anchors alone stop being acceptable for an iron-framed mirror. Locate your studs first, check for wiring or pipework behind the fixing points, and have a second person help you hold it level while you mark out — a tall narrow mirror is difficult to keep plumb single-handed.

Can it go in a bathroom?
The metal frame handles humidity better than a timber one, so a well-ventilated bathroom is fine. Keep it out of direct shower spray, though — standing water sitting against the bottom edge will eventually get behind the silvering, and that damage cannot be repaired.

What does it weigh?
