Four separate places to put things, which is unusual in a piece this size: two drawers, a pull-out tray, and an open lower shelf. The pull-out tray is the detail worth noticing — it slides out to take a cup and a book at bed height without you having to clear the top first. Built from mahogany and engineered wood with brass handles and metal drawer runners, on tapered legs.

How does this differ from the other black Island Life bedside table?
Two different designs. This one is wider at 640 x 440mm and adds a pull-out tray and open lower shelf. The other is 615 x 410mm with cross-front drawers and a lipped top.

What is the pull-out tray for?
It's a sliding surface that sits between the top and the drawers. Pull it out for a cup and a book without disturbing whatever is on the table top, then push it back in.

Is it tall for a bedside table?
Yes, noticeably. It suits high or heavily layered beds well, and works equally as a hallway or living room piece. Beside a low platform bed it will stand above the mattress.

How do I care for the finish?
It's water-based paint under a lacquer top coat, so it wipes clean easily. Use a soft, barely damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners, which dull lacquer.

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for the products we sell.  We will repair or replace any product in accordance with the Act if that product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet the standards imposed by the Act.
If for any reason a replacement or repair cannot be done then a refund will be processed. 
 
Fair Trading Act 1986
 
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect customers from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, the availability of products in store and the sales techniques used.
 
Returning Defective Products
 
Products must be returned and inspected with proof of purchase before we will provide any repair, replacement or refund.
 
Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, we may repair, replace or refund any product that does not meet the standards set out in those Acts.
 
Any refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the product.
 
If you return a product that is not defective and complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
 
a.  The product will be returned to you at your expense and upon your payment of further shipping fees.
b.  The product will be disposed of after 30 days from receipt if we are not provided with further shipping fees and a return shipping address.
