Kensington Oak Console Table - Dark Oak | Online8 New Zealand

Solid oak with an oak veneer top, traditionally joined, hand-waxed rather than sprayed. The Kensington is built the way console tables were built before flat-pack — a solid oak carcass assembled with traditional joinery, an oak veneer top over a stable board core to keep the surface flat, and a wax finish worked into the grain rather than sitting on top of it. Black metal handles and runners give it enough contemporary edge to sit in a modern hallway without looking out of place.

Is this solid oak?
The frame, legs and carcass are solid oak. The top surface is oak veneer over a stable board core, which helps a large top stay flat rather than cupping or splitting with seasonal humidity changes.

How do I maintain a hand-waxed finish?
Dust with a soft dry cloth. Reapply a quality furniture wax once or twice a year to keep the surface protected and the grain looking rich. Avoid silicone-based sprays, which build up over wax.

How is it shipped?
Shipping is $99 to your nearest Mainfreight depot for pickup. More shipping options are available at checkout.

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for the products we sell.  We will repair or replace any product in accordance with the Act if that product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet the standards imposed by the Act.
If for any reason a replacement or repair cannot be done then a refund will be processed. 
 
Fair Trading Act 1986
 
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect customers from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, the availability of products in store and the sales techniques used.
 
Returning Defective Products
 
Products must be returned and inspected with proof of purchase before we will provide any repair, replacement or refund.
 
Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, we may repair, replace or refund any product that does not meet the standards set out in those Acts.
 
Any refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the product.
 
If you return a product that is not defective and complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
 
a.  The product will be returned to you at your expense and upon your payment of further shipping fees.
b.  The product will be disposed of after 30 days from receipt if we are not provided with further shipping fees and a return shipping address.
