A 1200mm round dining table in black powder coated steel from Danish designer Kristina Dam. The top is perforated, which lightens what would otherwise be a solid steel disc and gives the table a transparent look — but it is genuinely heavy, and built on galvanised steel treated with a powder coat, so it holds its ground outdoors in wind and resists rust.

How many does it seat?
Six to eight. Because there are no legs around the perimeter, you can push chairs in anywhere rather than working around four corners.
Can it live outside?
Yes — it is galvanised steel with a powder coat, so it is rust-resistant and made for outdoor use. Two limits: do not leave it outdoors below 5°C, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight, which can fade the colour. Bring it inside over winter.
How do I clean it?
Warm soapy water only, dried off with a soft cloth. No solvents or abrasives.
Will the perforated top hold a wine glass?
The perforation is part of the steel top, not an open grid — but on any perforated surface it is worth a placemat or tray under narrow-based glassware.
Anything to avoid?
Lift rather than drag it when rearranging, to avoid scratching the powder coat, and do not stand on it.
