A round mirror over a metre across in a burl walnut veneer frame, 80mm deep. Burl is timber cut from the knotted growths that form on a tree trunk, which is why the grain swirls into a mosaic rather than running straight. No two frames can match, because no two burls do.
Why It Stands Apart
- Burl figure, unique to each piece. Cut from knotted tree growths, so the swirling grain cannot be repeated. Yours will differ from the one photographed.
- An 80mm frame depth. Substantial enough to cast a real shadow, which gives a large round mirror genuine presence.
- Over a metre across. Large enough to open up an entryway or living room rather than simply decorate it.
- Veneer over MDF. The practical construction at this diameter, since solid burl would be both prohibitively rare and prone to movement.

Will the grain match the photograph?
No. Burl figure is unique to each cut, so the swirl and pattern on your frame will differ noticeably. That variation is the whole appeal of burl.
How is it hung?
From fixings on the back. A mirror of this size in veneered MDF and glass is heavy, so fix into timber studs with fixings rated well above its weight and have someone help you lift it into place.
What size will it look on my wall?
It needs roughly 2200mm of clear wall. Above a console, leave 200mm to 300mm between the furniture top and the base of the frame.
