There is not a straight edge on it. The Luna Wave is cut to an undulating silhouette in solid wood finished deep black, so instead of a rectangle interrupting your wall you get a shape that appears to move across it. At 1600 x 700mm it is also large enough to work as a full-length mirror, which means the sculptural form is not costing you the practical use — an unusual combination in a piece that is essentially decorative.
Why It Stands Apart
- A wave-cut silhouette. The outline curves along both long edges, so the mirror reads as a form rather than a panel and needs nothing else arranged around it.
- Solid wood, not moulded composite. The frame is cut and finished in timber, which holds a crisp edge along the curves where a moulded material tends to soften them.
- Deep black finish. The flat black keeps the eye on the shape rather than the material, and gives hard contrast against a pale wall.

How should it be fixed if I hang it?
Into structural framing across more than one stud. At 1600mm this is past the point where a single fixing or plasterboard anchors are acceptable. Locate your studs first, check for wiring or pipework behind the fixing points, and lift it into position with two people — a curved edge is harder to grip securely than a straight one.
Can I lean it on the floor instead?
Yes, but secure it. A 1600mm mirror leaning against a wall can be pulled over by a child, a pet or a knock, so fit a strap or bracket into a stud behind it. Do not lean it on a rug or an uneven floor, where the base can shift, and do not place it where a door can swing into it.
What does it weigh?
We are not certain, and we would rather say so. Our supplier information gives two different weights for this mirror, so we have published neither. Call the showroom and we will confirm the actual shipping weight.
