At 244cm the Marlowe is the longest sideboard we stock — a genuine statement piece for a large dining room or an open-plan living space. Black elm outside with a natural timber interior, so the inside reveals warm grain every time a door opens. Only 46cm deep, which is what keeps two and a half metres of furniture from overwhelming a room.

Will it fit my room?
At 244cm you need a clear wall run of at least 2.6m to give it breathing space at each end. It is only 46cm deep, so it does not project far, but measure the wall before ordering.

Will it fit through my doorway?
The depth is 46cm and the height 91cm, so it turns through a standard doorway on its side. The 244cm length is the constraint — check hallway corners and stairwell turns carefully at this size.

What does "natural inside" mean?
The exterior is finished black while the interior is left in natural timber, so the grain shows when the doors are open.

Will it match the photos exactly?
Not precisely. Slight variation in wood colour and texture is normal in elm and is part of the character of the piece.

How do I care for it?
Wipe with a soft, barely damp cloth and dry it off. Avoid abrasive cleaners, and use mats or coasters under anything hot or wet.
