How old is the timber?
The elm is genuinely reclaimed and around 80 years old. Natural variation in grain, colour and the odd mark or knot is part of its history and makes every piece unique.

Does it need to be anchored to the wall?
Yes. At 2130mm tall this is a full-height unit and should be fixed to the wall framing once assembled. Anchor into studs rather than plasterboard alone, and keep heavier items on the lower shelves.

Will it fit through my doorway and under my ceiling?
The bookcase is assembled on site, so doorway width is not the constraint. Ceiling height is: at 2130mm you need a standard 2400mm ceiling or better, and you should check for light fittings, ceiling roses or a sloped run before choosing its position.

Will it match the Small and Large in the range?
All three share the same reclaimed elm and black iron construction and the same 450mm depth. Because the timber is salvaged, expect colour and grain to vary between pieces even within a matched set.
