MUUBS Rug Earth - Rust 140x200 | Online8 New Zealand

The MUUBS Earth Rug in Rust is a flat-woven rug with a pattern inspired by the surface of the Earth. Produced in Denmark from used and cleaned fishing nets recovered from the ocean, it brings warm, earthy colour to a living room, bedroom or entry while giving discarded nets a second life.

Why It Stands Apart

  • Made from recycled fishing nets: ocean nets are broken down and respun into a strong yarn, so the rug helps take waste out of the sea.
  • Earth-inspired pattern: the woven surface echoes natural landscapes and adds texture without overwhelming a room.
  • Durable, fit for commercial use: tough enough for busy homes as well as offices, cafés and hospitality spaces.
  • Flat-woven construction: sits low to the floor, so doors open freely and furniture rests evenly on top.
  • Overlocked wool edge: a neat, hard-wearing finish around the border.
