The frame is left in the timber's own colour, so the grain and the pale honey tone are fully visible, and it will mellow and warm over the years rather than staying fixed. At 680 x 950mm it is also the usable shape in this range — tall enough for a proper head-and-shoulders reflection, where the round and square versions are decorative first.

Will the oak change colour?
Yes, and that is normal. Untinted oak deepens towards a warmer honey tone over the years. Strong direct sunlight will accelerate it and can do so unevenly, so avoid hanging it where sun falls across only part of the frame for hours a day.

How should it be fixed to the wall?
Into a stud where possible. A solid oak frame at this size weighs more than it looks, and a plasterboard anchor rated for a light picture will not do. Check for wiring before you drill.

Can it go in a bathroom?
Only a well-ventilated one, away from the shower. Solid timber and sustained humidity do not mix — the grain will raise and moisture will eventually work in behind the mirror backing.
