Can it stand on the floor instead of hanging?
Either works. If you rest it against a wall it must be secured — at 1500mm it can be pulled over by a child or a pet. Fit a strap or bracket into a stud, never lean it on a rug or an uneven floor, and never where a door can swing into it.

How should it be fixed if I hang it?
Into structural framing across more than one stud. A mahogany frame at this size is heavy and puts real load through its fixings, so plasterboard anchors alone are not adequate. Check for wiring or pipework before drilling and lift it with two people.

How do I clean hand-carved detail?
A soft dry brush rather than a cloth, which catches on the carving. Apply glass cleaner to the cloth rather than spraying it, so nothing runs into the recesses. Avoid metal polish — the silver is lacquer, not metal, and polish strips it.

Can it go in a bathroom?
No. Mahogany suffers under sustained humidity and a lacquer finish will bloom. Keep it to living areas, hallways and bedrooms.
