The Plantation Kipling Bench Stool is a double-layer handwoven rattan stool in chocolate, with arms and a cream cushion, at a 690mm seat height. The double weave is the structural point: two layers of rattan worked over each other give the seat far more rigidity than a single layer, which is why it holds its shape where lighter rattan pieces sag. Frequently Asked Questions

Will it fit my counter or bar?
The 690mm seat with cushion suits a kitchen counter of roughly 940mm to 960mm. Measure from the floor to the underside of your benchtop and allow 250mm to 300mm of clearance above the seat. Note the arms at 770mm, which will stop the stool tucking under a lower benchtop overhang.

Can it be used outdoors?
No. This is an indoor-only piece. Rattan left exposed to weather will dry, split and lose its shape, and the cushion will hold moisture and mildew.

How do I clean the cushion?
The cover unzips and machine washes at 30°C maximum. Do not bleach or tumble dry, and iron on low heat only.

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for the products we sell. We will repair or replace any product in accordance with the Act if that product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet the standards imposed by the Act.
If for any reason a replacement or repair cannot be done then a refund will be processed.

Fair Trading Act 1986

The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect customers from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, the availability of products in store and the sales techniques used.

Returning Defective Products

Products must be returned and inspected with proof of purchase before we will provide any repair, replacement or refund.

Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, we may repair, replace or refund any product that does not meet the standards set out in those Acts.

Any refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the product.

If you return a product that is not defective and complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:

a. The product will be returned to you at your expense and upon your payment of further shipping fees.
b. The product will be disposed of after 30 days from receipt if we are not provided with further shipping fees and a return shipping address.
