Pointer Stag Canvas Wall Art | Online8 New Zealand

A stag standing in deep shadow, antlers spread, the whole image pitched in near-black and forest green. Canvas at 80 x 120cm in a black L-frame. It is the darkest of the three stags in this range and the most atmospheric — more a mood than a wildlife portrait.

Why It Stands Apart

  • Very low-key lighting — the animal emerges from the dark rather than being presented on it
  • Deep green and near-black palette: it holds a wall without adding a colour to the room
  • Black L-frame runs straight into the dark ground for a seamless edge
  • 80 x 120cm portrait — the height the antlers need
  • Suits a study, dining room or hallway with some darkness already in it

Frequently Asked Questions

How does it compare to the other stags?
Royal Stag is a warm, naturalistic field scene on canvas. Staggering is glass art, sharper and more reflective. Pointer is the darkest and moodiest of the three.

Will it show up in a dim room?
It needs some light on it. A picture light or an angled downlight makes a considerable difference.

Is it glazed?
No — canvas, so no glass and no glare on a dark image.

How much wall does it need?
Around 1.2m of clear width.

Can I see it?
Please give our showroom a call at 09 278 8881 to check if this is on display.
