How old is the timber?
Around 80 years old. The oak is genuinely reclaimed, so its patina, grain and marks vary from piece to piece — that natural variation is what makes each cabinet unique.

Does it need to be anchored to the wall?
Yes. A 2100mm-tall cabinet with outward-swinging doors should be fixed to the wall framing, particularly if the shelves are loaded unevenly or the doors may be opened by children.

Will it fit through my doorway and under my ceiling?
Measure before ordering, as the Kenji ships assembled. It must move through your entry, hallway and any stair turn as a single 1150mm × 470mm × 2100mm unit. Allow at least 2150mm of ceiling clearance, plus room to tilt it upright once in the room.

What can the interior hold with the shelves removed?
Taking the shelves out leaves a continuous vertical cavity roughly 2100mm tall, which handles tall or irregular items that would not fit a fixed-shelf cabinet.
