How old is the timber?
Around 80 years old. The oak is genuinely reclaimed, so natural variation in grain, colour and marks is expected — and it is what makes each stool unique.

Will it fit my counter or bar?
At 660mm overall this is counter height, suiting a standard kitchen bench of roughly 900mm to 920mm. Measure from the floor to the underside of your benchtop and allow 250mm to 300mm of clearance above the seat. It will sit too low at a raised bar of 1050mm or more.

How should rattan and reclaimed oak be cared for?
Dust the rattan with a soft dry brush to reach into the weave, and wipe the oak with a barely damp cloth. Keep both out of prolonged direct sunlight, and avoid soaking the rattan, which loosens the weave.
