A handmade Danish wicker chair with a high back and full armrests, built from Lloyd Loom — tightly twisted kraft paper braid wound around steel wire, woven over a rattan frame. The material has a long history in hard-use settings: it was the standard for restaurants, cruise ships and even airship cabins, chosen because it takes daily punishment and still looks good decades on. Supplied with a white seat cushion.

What is Lloyd Loom, and how does it differ from rattan?
Lloyd Loom is a woven material made from tightly twisted kraft paper wrapped around steel wire, rather than natural cane. The steel core makes it notably strong and gives a smoother, more uniform weave than natural rattan. This chair uses a rattan frame with a Lloyd Loom weave over it.

Can I use it outdoors or on a covered deck?
No — it's specified for indoor use only. Moisture will damage the paper weave.

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for the products we sell.  We will repair or replace any product in accordance with the Act if that product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet the standards imposed by the Act.
If for any reason a replacement or repair cannot be done then a refund will be processed. 
 
Fair Trading Act 1986
 
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect customers from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, the availability of products in store and the sales techniques used.
 
Returning Defective Products
 
Products must be returned and inspected with proof of purchase before we will provide any repair, replacement or refund.
 
Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, we may repair, replace or refund any product that does not meet the standards set out in those Acts.
 
Any refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the product.
 
If you return a product that is not defective and complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
 
a.  The product will be returned to you at your expense and upon your payment of further shipping fees.
b.  The product will be disposed of after 30 days from receipt if we are not provided with further shipping fees and a return shipping address.
