The SS Counter Stool arrives as a set of four, built on matte black powder-coated steel over a birchwood ply base with wipe-clean vegan leather cushioning at a 670mm seat height. Cross-laminated birch ply gives the seat far more strength and dimensional stability than solid board of the same thickness, so it stays flat under years of use. A hardwearing counter-height set for a full kitchen island.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it suit my counter or bar?
At 670mm this is counter height, suiting a standard kitchen bench of roughly 900mm to 920mm. Measure from the floor to the underside of your benchtop and allow 250mm to 300mm of clearance above the seat. It will sit too low at a raised bar of 1050mm or more.

Is it sold individually or as a set?
It is sold as a set of four matching stools. At 450mm long each, allow roughly 520mm to 570mm per seat for elbow room, so a run of about 2100mm to 2300mm suits all four.

How should vegan leather be cleaned?
A damp cloth handles most marks. Avoid solvent-based cleaners and abrasives, which damage the surface, and keep it away from direct heat.

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for the products we sell. We will repair or replace any product in accordance with the Act if that product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet the standards imposed by the Act.
If for any reason a replacement or repair cannot be done then a refund will be processed.

Fair Trading Act 1986

The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect customers from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, the availability of products in store and the sales techniques used.

Returning Defective Products

Products must be returned and inspected with proof of purchase before we will provide any repair, replacement or refund.

Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, we may repair, replace or refund any product that does not meet the standards set out in those Acts.

Any refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the product.

If you return a product that is not defective and complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:

a. The product will be returned to you at your expense and upon your payment of further shipping fees.
b. The product will be disposed of after 30 days from receipt if we are not provided with further shipping fees and a return shipping address.
