Frequently Asked Questions

Does it need to be anchored to the wall?
Yes, and for a ladder shelf this matters more than usual. A leaning or graduated frame relies on the wall for part of its stability, so it must be fixed into wall studs. Do not rely on the lean alone, particularly with children or pets in the house.

Will it fit through my doorway and under my ceiling?
At 630mm wide it clears any standard doorway, though the 670mm depth means you will need a reasonable turn into the room. At 1840mm tall it stands well under a standard 2400mm ceiling.

How much will the upper shelves hold?
The shelves reduce in depth as they rise, so the top tiers are sized for lighter display pieces rather than stacked books. Keep the heaviest items on the deeper lower shelves.

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for the products we sell.  We will repair or replace any product in accordance with the Act if that product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet the standards imposed by the Act.
If for any reason a replacement or repair cannot be done then a refund will be processed. 
 
Fair Trading Act 1986
 
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect customers from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, the availability of products in store and the sales techniques used.
 
Returning Defective Products
 
Products must be returned and inspected with proof of purchase before we will provide any repair, replacement or refund.
 
Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, we may repair, replace or refund any product that does not meet the standards set out in those Acts.
 
Any refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the product.
 
If you return a product that is not defective and complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
 
a.  The product will be returned to you at your expense and upon your payment of further shipping fees.
b.  The product will be disposed of after 30 days from receipt if we are not provided with further shipping fees and a return shipping address.
