The smallest table in May Time's Studio range — 300 x 300mm and 505mm high, in black metal. It is a genuine occasional table: something to slide beside a chair for a drink, use as a plant stand, or set at the foot of a bed. Handmade, and low enough to sit under the arm of most sofas.

How does it compare to the Lyn Tall?
This is the smaller of the two — 300 x 300mm and 505mm high, against 350 x 350mm and 550mm for the Lyn Tall.

Is it too low to use beside a chair?
At 505mm it sits a little below most armrests, which suits setting a drink down rather than working at. If you want it at arm height, the Lyn Tall is 45mm higher.

What colours does the Short come in?
Black is the only colourway we stock in the Short. The Tall is also available in Copper Brown.

Will it hold a lamp?
A small one. At 300mm square the top is best suited to a single object — a plant, a drink, or a compact lamp with a narrow base.
