Terrain Painted Canvas Wall Art

Terrain Painted Canvas Wall Art | Online8 New Zealand

An abstracted landscape — bands of ochre, soft blue and cream laid across each other so they suggest hills, water and sky without describing any of them. Canvas with painting over it, 120 x 80cm, in a black L-frame. It is the sort of piece that reads as a real place from a distance and dissolves into brushwork up close.

Why It Stands Apart

• Painted over the canvas, so the surface has real brush texture
• Abstracted landscape: the suggestion of a place, without tying the room to a specific one
• Ochre, blue and cream — warm and cool in balance, which makes it easy to place
• 120 x 80cm landscape, a proper feature size above a sofa or sideboard
• Black L-frame gives a soft image a defined edge
