Thyra Canvas Wall Art | Online8 New Zealand

A whitewashed doorway in a thick stone wall, cacti and terracotta pots grouped around the step, everything bleached by strong sun. Canvas at 80 x 120cm in an oak-coloured frame. It is unmistakably Mediterranean, and the near-white palette makes it one of the brightest pieces in the range.

Why It Stands Apart

  • Almost entirely white and sand-toned — it lifts a dark room rather than weighing it down
  • Strong architectural subject with real texture in the rendered wall
  • Cacti and terracotta give just enough colour to stop it going flat
  • Oak-coloured frame warms the cool whites
  • 80 x 120cm portrait — good scale for a hallway, bathroom-adjacent wall or bedroom

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it look washed out on a white wall?
The oak frame gives it a clear edge. On a soft stone, clay or sage wall it reads more strongly still.

Is it glazed?
No — canvas, so no glass and no glare.

Does it group with other pieces?
Yes — it sits well with Rising and Quiet Facades, which share the architectural subject.

How much wall does it need?
Around 1.2m of clear width.

Can I see it?
