Vina Ornate Wall Mirror - 80 x 120cm | Online8 New Zealand

A shaped mirror in the Venetian manner — scrolled crest, curved shoulders, and a border of bevelled mirror sections rather than a solid frame. At 80 x 120cm it is decorative in a way that most modern mirrors aren't, and because the frame is all glass it stays light rather than heavy-handed. Hangs either portrait or landscape.

Why It Stands Apart

  • Shaped and scrolled silhouette — a decorative outline rather than a plain rectangle
  • Bevelled mirror border: the ornament is made of glass, so it sparkles instead of sitting heavy
  • Hangs horizontally or vertically to suit the wall
  • 80 x 120cm, substantial enough for an entry, dining wall or dressing room
  • Period character with no timber or gilt finish to match into a scheme

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it look too formal in a modern room?
Less than you'd expect. Because the ornament is clear glass rather than gilt, it reads as sparkle rather than period detail.

How should it be fixed?
Into studs or on rated anchors — mirror-framed pieces carry more weight than they look.

Are the edges fragile?
Shaped mirror edges want care in handling and a stable fixing. Once it's on the wall it's fine.

What is the backing made from?
Not published by the supplier. Call us on 09 278 8881 and we'll confirm the construction and weight.
