This is the tall one. At 520 x 1500mm it hangs portrait, which is the version to choose when you want height on a wall — an entrance hall, a stairwell, the panel beside a fireplace. The ornate cast frame is magnesia composite with a distressed antique marble finish, giving you the look of carved stone at a fraction of the weight and none of the fragility, and the finish runs through the material rather than sitting on top of it.

Orientation and size. This is the portrait version, 520mm wide by 1500mm high, SKU QD5007. The other is a landscape piece, 1200mm wide by 440mm high, SKU QD5003, intended to sit above a mantel or a sideboard. Same finish and material, entirely different jobs on a wall.

Can it be used outdoors?
The material is the same composite we use in our outdoor-rated pieces, but this particular product is not listed for exterior use while its landscape sibling is. Rather than assume, call the showroom and we will confirm before you commit it to a courtyard.

How should it be fixed to the wall?
Into structural framing, spanning more than one stud where you can. A cast composite frame at 1500mm carries real weight, and plasterboard anchors are not adequate. Check for wiring or pipework before drilling and treat it as a two-person lift.

Will the frame chip?
Cast composite is hard but can chip at an exposed edge under a sharp knock. Because the colour runs through the material rather than sitting on the surface, any damage is far less conspicuous than it would be on a painted frame.

What does it weigh?
